Hi! I’m Elizabeth — The Girl With the Not-So-Itsy-Bitsy Personality

Hi everyone! I’m Elizabeth, but around here they call me Itsy Bitsy — even though there’s absolutely nothing itsy bitsy about my personality. I’m nine years old, sassy, adventurous, and have the attention span of an over-caffeinated squirrel trying to break into a bird feeder. Basically, I’m a lot… in the best way.

I’ve been traveling the world with my family since I was just six months old, but the first trip I actually remember was Hawaii, right after COVID. I lost my first tooth there, saw sea turtles, went snorkeling, and hiked until I begged for pizza. That’s my kind of vacation: a little adventure, a little wildlife, and a guaranteed pizza stop.

Since then, we’ve been everywhere from Disney Paris (though the food is definitely better at Disneyland) to Krakow, Poland (best bird-feeding EVER!) to road trips through the heartland of the USA (I just can’t wait to be on the road again!). I’m always planning my next expedition. Someday, I want to stay in an over-water bungalow somewhere tropical… or at least somewhere with an epic waterslide. Just slather me in sunscreen and hand me a poolside popsicle and I’m happy! And honestly? With giant redwood trees, beautiful beaches, and big cities all within twenty minutes of home, there’s a ton to explore without even leaving my own county.
Big Papa says my superpower is making friends everywhere I go. I’m super curious and chatty, and I love meeting new kids and learning about them — even when we don’t speak the same language! Sometimes I get so excited to share what I see and think that I feel like I’ll burst if I try to hold it in.

One of my favorite parts of traveling is noticing the little things grown-ups rush past: feeding birds in the park, dancing to a street performer’s music, riding a hop-on hop-off bus just because, or hunting for the perfect stuffie in a local shop. I always find something fun to do, and trust me — if I’m excited, everyone around me is too. Fat Mama says my excitement is contagious. People just can’t help but smile when I’m around!
When we travel, I basically live on pizza, hot dogs, and ice cream — trying new foods is not my favorite, but trying pizza in different countries is totally my jam. As long as it’s cheesy, saucy, and has absolutely NO GREEN on it, it’s a BIG yum from me. Sometimes, though, Fat Mama and Big Papa bribe me with a new souvenir if I agree to taste the local food. Did you know almost every country has its own version of hot dogs? I’ve tried bangers in England, kielbasa in Poland, and even haggis in Scotland (yikes!) — but honestly, nothing beats a Costco $1.50 dog.
So why am I here writing this blog? Because I want other kids (and grown-ups too) to see what I see and maybe feel brave enough to go exploring too. Traveling is pure magic — you get to see things, try things, and meet people that BLOW YOUR MIND! It’s so fun doing things I’d never find if I just stayed home staring at a screen. Plus, Fat Mama gives me a dollar for every hour in the car or on a plane when I don’t use my iPad… double if I spend more time screen-free than poking around my favorite apps.

I hope my stories and photos make you want to grab your backpack and go see the world too. And if you do? Tell me where you went! I need ideas for my next big adventure.
Bye for now! 🗺️✨💖
Love,
Itsy Bitsy
